“It occurred to her that they might never be so happy again. Beauty was the promise of happiness, not happiness itself; and the anticipated world was often more rich than anything real. But this time who could say? This time might be the golden one at last.”

—Kim Stanley Robinson, Red Mars

All songs unless otherwise noted written, played, and recorded by Aaron Riverwood.

Tracks 1 and 9 recorded by Jamie Paul (Shelburne Falls, MA, May 2019). Tracks 2, 3, 4, 7 recorded at Reticence HQ, Shelburne Falls in June 2018. Track 5 and 6 recorded July 2019. Track 8 recorded June 2020. Track 6 is a manipulation of Nick Drake’s “Horn” and “Things Behind the Sun” from the album Pink Moon; used without permission but with reverence and love. All tracks mastered by Tony Jillson at Ratite Studios, Ashfield MA. Cover photo by Rachel Riverwood.

Track 5 previously appeared on IVY: Home Recordings, an Infinity Vine Records compilation, 2019.

All guitars tuned standard except on tracks 1 (DGDGAD), 5 (drop D), and 9 (CGCGCE).

Thanks to everyone who listened, encouraged, played, responded, and otherwise showed up, particularly John Affleck, Josh Burkett/Mystra Recs, Andrew Cramb, Keith Hadad/Record Crates United, Adam Katz, Roger Linney, Jamie Paul, Kelly Spyglass, Tucker Sferro, Wayne J.
