DESIRE PATHS

“paths & tracks made over time by the wishes & feet of walkers, especially those paths that run contrary to design or planning” - Robert Macfarlane, 2018.

The title “Above grass, below sky” is inspired by Douglas Adams. The phrase “So many doors of time past” is from A Door into Ocean (1987) by Joan Slonczewski.

Written, played, recorded, and mixed by Aaron Riverwood at The Old Riverwood Place, Shelburne Falls, MA, between January 2019 and August 2020, except “I don’t wanna go down” which is by the Ramones, and (“So many) doors of time past” which was recorded in Jaffrey, NH. Cover art by Aaron Riverwood. Mastered by Tony Jillson at Ratite Studio, Ashfield, MA.

Thanks to Roger Linney and Jeremy Withers.

Dedicated to the dreams we dream.

released September 15, 2020.
